Air Freight

Sea Freight

We offer this mode of transportation for businesses and companies wanting to move goods via sea from port to port through to the final destination (the final address where the goods are delivered, typically a business address).

There are three types of sea freight that we accommodate for. These include:

  • Full Container Load (FCL) – We ship your container containing only your goods. The FCL container upon arrival is collected from the port and delivered to your premises for unpack.
  • Less than Container Load (LCL) – Whereby your goods are consolidated and shipped with those of other businesses. The container is collected from the wharf and deconsolidated at an Australian Custom s/ Biosecurity approved depot. Your goods are delivered to your door once the unpack is complete.
  • Break Bulk – Where we transport goods that cannot fit into a container.

At R Melling & Associates, we must take all the precautions to ensure your cargo arrives safely and on time. Containerised cargo needs to be cleared within 48 hours before arrival at the 1st Australian port. This helps to ensure that the cargo being imported complies with all government legislation to enter Australia.
